To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to come and join our team in the Southwest England region
Your Mission:
Are you passionate about building relationships, solving problems, and making a real impact in the housing development world? We're on the hunt for a motivated, energetic and commercially savvy Business Development Manager who's ready to bring Ibstock's top-tier portfolio of construction solutions to life.
You'll be the go-to expert for major housing developers in your region, guiding them through our offering - from bricks and stone to flooring and roofing solutions. Think of yourself as a trusted advisor, a deal-closer, and a connector of people, products and possibilities.
You will be part of an already successful team with a diverse range of skills and experience that you can call upon at any time.
What You'll Be Doing:
? Drive Growth - Spot opportunities, win specifications, and boost profitability through proactive, consultative selling.
? Be the Face of Ibstock - Build meaningful, long-term relationships with developers and become their go-to for product insights and solutions.
? Champion Our Portfolio - Promote our full range: Brick, Brick Components, Walling Stone, Cast Stone? and generate leads for Roofing and Flooring.
? Create Opportunities - Develop a strong, live project pipeline that converts - you're not just chasing sales, you're shaping skylines.
? Collaborate & Influence - Work closely with colleagues across sales, marketing and operations to deliver great outcomes and cross-sell where you can.
? Think Smart - Use CRM, data, and tech tools to spot trends and stay ahead of the curve.
? Strategic Partnerships - Create and manage Joint Business Plans with key accounts for long-term success.
? Be in control of your own diary - Gauge customer needs and respond appropriately
? Work in Partnership - work closely with our colleagues in the office to ensure our customers are given the best customer service imaginable.
What You Bring to the Table:
Must-Haves:
? Charisma and confidence when presenting and influencing (you're a natural people person)
? Strong written and verbal communication skills
? Experience in account management and negotiation or Sales (minimum of 3 years)
? A curious mind and commercial mindset - you love finding smart ways to drive growth
? Excellent time management and organisational skills
? Comfortable with digital tools and data
? Resilience, independence, and a proactive attitude
Nice-to-Haves:
? Proficient in Microsoft Office
? A flair for creative thinking and new ideas
? A track record of success in construction product sales would be ideal
? Knowledge of the housing developer market and construction products
