Enhanced Teaching Assistant Grade 6 £28,142 - £31,022 pro rata Permanent Full time, term time only 2 weeks Required as soon as possible The Woodlands are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Enhanced Teaching Assistant to join our supportive KS4 team. This person will support English Literature for three days and Art for two days, and they will also be required to assist with options. The Role: As an LSA at The Woodlands, you will: Support students in overcoming challenges to engage with learning. Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to implement individualized learning plans. Build positive relationships with students, promoting their self-esteem and resilience. Assist in creating a calm and structured environment that fosters progress and well-being. Support students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis across a variety of subjects. Contribute to a culture of safeguarding and promote positive behavior. What We’re Looking For: We are seeking someone who: Has experience working with challenging young people. Is patient, understanding, and committed to helping students succeed. Can work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate strong communication skills. Is resilient and adaptable, with the ability to respond to challenging situations calmly. Is passionate about inclusive education and making a difference in young people’s lives The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Calculation of term time only plus two weeks’ pay Term time only plus two additional weeks’ pay is calculated on the basis of the following: • Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus • Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus • Two additional weeks, inclusive of CPD – 2 weeks; plus • Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days) Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave.
