Balfour Beatty currently has an excellent opportunity for a Civils Design Manager to join our UK Construction teams in the Central Belt and the North of Scotland.
Core duties involve supporting the site-based Buildings project teams during design development stages across Civil, Structural, and Architectural disciplines.

What you'll be doing
* Managing design proposals to meet customer needs, budget constraints, and sustainability goals
* Ensuring safety, quality, and innovation in design and construction
* Coordinating with internal teams, JV partners, customers, designers, and the supply chain
* Leading the development and implementation of design deliverables programs
* Supporting BIM integration and digital collaboration
* Engaging with statutory bodies for planning, building control, and service approvals
* Applying Lean construction techniques to enhance efficiency
Who we're looking for
* Experience in design consultancy or design management within a main contracting environment
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a matrix organization
* Understanding of site-based activities and BIM processes
* Professional membership with a relevant institute (e.g., ICE, IStructE)
* Valid CSCS card
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and industry-standard design tools
