Job : Finance Manager - Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Location : Worcester Type : Permanent - Hybrid with travel to London Salary : up to £ 70,000 depending on experience Car allowance Must have's : Financial Control & Reporting Sector : Professional Services Our client in the professional services space is looking for a Finance Manager ( Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA ) with experience in Financial Control and Reporting. This position is based in Worcester, is hybrid and will require regular travel to London. The Finance Manager who combines technical excellence with a proactive mindset to lead a team of Management Accountants. This role is ideal for someone who is resilient under pressure & passionate about driving improvement across financial processes. This role will report to the Director of Finance and will have a team of direct reports so previous team management is highly advantageous. You will manage the month-end close, balance sheet integrity, and business partner with support cost centres to deliver meaningful insights. You’ll also lead the quarterly reporting and financial statement preparation for a major client, managing audit queries with confidence and precision. Duties to include ( but not limited too ) : Financial Control & Reporting Own the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous refinement. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring robust financial controls and data integrity. Identify and implement improvements to streamline reporting and strengthen governance. Client-Facing Financial Management Lead the preparation of quarterly accounts and financial statements for a high-profile client. Manage audit queries with professionalism and agility, ensuring compliance and transparency. Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP using CCH as the reporting software. Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on accounting matters. Leadership & Development Inspire and lead a team of Management Accountants, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement. Encourage innovation and challenge the status quo to enhance team performance and process efficiency. Support Costs Business Partnering Collaborate with support cost centre leads to provide insightful financial analysis and challenge assumptions. Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, driving clarity and alignment with strategic goals. Qualifications A commercially orientated qualified Finance individual (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) 5 -10 years post qualified commercial experience Experience Big 4 audit could be advantageous. Skills and Experience Proven experience in a finance leadership role with a track record of driving improvements. Strong technical accounting skills and a passion for problem-solving. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Advance Excel and PowerPoint skills. Power BI experience is a plus Experience of using Workday, Adaptive Insight, Sage 50 and CCH preferable. Apply today !
