This role sits at the heart of the marketing function, supporting investment decisions, identifying opportunities to find more customers, and ensuring the business makes the best possible use of data. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interrogating datasets, applying analytical methods, and producing accessible reporting for stakeholders across the organisation. The Marketing Data Analysts will focus on analysing marketing performance, identifying trends, creating dashboards, supporting ROI analysis, and generating insights to improve campaign effectiveness. You will lead the setup of the analysis function recommending and implementing appropriate analytical tools which integrate with existing business reporting tools. You will also be the key data owner and take responsibility for creating full understanding of our data across all our disparate systems including our CRM, Membership database, booking system and attribution system. Key Responsibilities: Data & Insight Use data stored across various systems and databases to understand marketing trends and customer behaviour. Create ROI analyses for marketing activity and work with teams to maximise return on marketing investment. Conduct ad‑hoc business analyses to answer key commercial questions and support strategic marketing decisions. Data Querying & Analysis Interrogate and query data directly where necessary; The role-holder may use SQL, spreadsheets to create their analyses. Identify trends, segments, and opportunities to improve customer acquisition, retention, and engagement. Reporting & Visualisation Create clear, accessible reports and dashboards for marketing and leadership teams. Develop performance marketing reports, including channel‑level breakdowns and campaign effectiveness insights. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Take a leading role and act as the main point of contact for data queries across the business ensuring alignment between systems. Be the key point of contact linking together third party data and analytical systems ensuring that we maximise their value. Partner with marketing, commercial, product and digital teams to ensure data is being used effectively to power business decisions. Support experiments such as A/B testing when required. Growth & Opportunity Identification Be an integral part of the marketing function, proactively finding opportunities to reach and attract more customers. What are we looking for? Essential Skills: Strong data literacy and comfort working with datasets from multiple systems. Experience using data querying tools (e.g., SQL) and the ability to interrogate detailed datasets. Ability to turn complex data into clear insights, reports, and dashboards for non‑technical audiences. Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple teams. Desirable Skills: Experience with marketing analytics tools including marketing platforms, CRM systems and data analysis tools. (Google Analytics preferred but not essential). Experience producing performance marketing dashboards and attribution analysis. Some statistical or modelling experience helpful but not required.
