An Excellent opportunity has become available for a CNC Turner/ Programmer / Setter / Operator at Vance precision Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of detailed components to customer’s specification. We are looking for a dedicated, passionate individual who will ensure we continue to provide exceptional service to all of our customers.
If successful, you will be required to:
* Operate a variety of Doosan and Lynx CNC machine tools, Fanuc controls.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Read and Interpret CNC programs.
* Create CNC programs
* Load, edit and save CNC programs.
* Be able to select appropriate tooling.
* Be able to select appropriate cutting conditions.
* Inspect and record dimensions against tolerances.
* Work as part of a close-knit team.
Desired Experience:
* 5 years' experience with CNC lathes and Fanuc Controls.
* Experience with Lynx Turn/mill.
* CMM Experience.
* Accustomed to working in a fast paced, precision engineering environment.
* Full understanding of Health and Safety procedures and requirements.
Commitments:
* Excellent understanding of Health and Safety procedures and requirements.
* Maintain good discipline in timekeeping, work performance and conduct.
* Maintain high levels of housekeeping in the production area.
* Available for overtime and weekend work to suit company requirements.
Job Type:
Full‑time/permanent – 4 day week - Mon – Thurs (7.30am – 5.30pm)
* Enhanced rates for overtime.
Pay:
£38,000.00 per year
* On‑site parking
