We are looking for a dynamic, proactive and experienced HR and Culture Manager to join our client's team based in Henley on Thames. We are looking for someone passionate, driven with lots of initiative to join a vibrant and highly successful SME. Experience working in smaller organisations would be an advantage. This role holds full ownership of the department and is critical in shaping an outstanding workplace experience for our client's teams across London and the Thames Valley. You'll be at the heart of their people strategy - driving engagement, managing benefits, overseeing training, and building a culture where people feel valued, inspired, and supported. Our client offers flexible working hours (around 25 hours per week in the office) with occasional travel to the London office. Responsibilities Lead the HR and People function with confidence and full ownership of employee experience and engagement strategies Champion company culture by creating and delivering initiatives that foster a positive, sociable, and inclusive working environment Own and manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, contracts (via HR software), performance reviews, and offboarding Act as liaison with external recruiters, manage interview processes, and support hiring managers Oversee & manager employee benefits to ensure they remain competitive and relevant Manage internal training programmes including annual mandatory training, advising line managers accordingly Stay up-to-date with employment legislation and advise Senior Management on compliance and HR best practices Support and guide on complex employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism Bring creative, inspiring ideas to improve the workplace and reinforce the belief that people are their greatest asset Skills and Experience Proven HR management experience, ideally in a standalone or leadership HR role CIPD Level 5 or higher (or equivalent experience) Demonstrated experience managing HR software systems, contracts, and onboarding processes Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to strong build relationships at all levels Experience managing employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes Ability to work both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, dynamic environment A genuine passion for people and culture, with the creativity and enthusiasm Please note that we will only contact those candidates that we assess as suitable for the positions we have currently available based on their experience, training, and skills.
