Administrative Assistant - Children's Nursery Contract: 3-month temporary contract Hours: 18.5 hours per week (days to be agreed) Key Responsibilities: Handle general enquiries via phone and email Manage and update children's registration and attendance records Administer booking pattern changes using a bespoke management system Raise, amend, and send invoices; monitor incoming payments, including childcare vouchers Order goods and supplies; process purchase orders and invoices for external suppliers Apply childcare funding to eligible accounts Create and maintain electronic spreadsheets for accounts, finance, and occupancy Perform general administrative duties to support the Childcare Manager Maintain filing systems and scan documents as required Requirements: 5 GCSEs or equivalent experience NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills Experience in administrative roles, preferably within childcare or educational settings Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain) Ability to travel to the nursery location in Christchurch Personal Attributes: High level of resilience and emotional intelligence Excellent organisational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
