Head of Democratic and Electoral Services Hybrid Working £400-550 per day About the Role: Sellick Partnership is looking for a Head of Democratic and Electoral Services to join a Local Authority on an interim basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected team. Key Responsibilities of the Head of Democratic and Electoral Services include: The organisation and management of the democratic and electoral functions of the local authority To take an active role in delivering Corporate and Service Specific Policies and Strategies To work in collaboration with the local authority's services as well as public, private, and third sector partners To ensure the local authority's Corporate Plan is delivered to maximum potential Dealing with member complaints Attending full cabinet meetings Key Skills and Experience of the Head of Democratic and Electoral Services : Significant experience leading a democratic and/or elections service Previous experience working in the public sector/local authorities Previous experience working in a political environment, understanding political processes and competently managing politically sensitive issues Experience planning, delivering, and managing projects Significant understanding of legislation and standards relevant to Electoral and Democratic processes Efficient leadership and management skills Ability to analyse and present complex information to a wide audience Our client is offering hybrid working with one day a week in the office, however they can be flexible for the right candidate.
