Role Overview
Associate People Manager – Tax (Assistant Manager grade). Covered in London/South/Manchester with hybrid work. 3 days per week in office, occasional travel.
Responsibilities
* Provide support and challenge to Associates to enable them to be their best.
* Have regular conversations to understand workload, wellbeing and feedback.
* Proactively manage performance including goal setting, performance reviews and escalation.
* Handle administrative tasks—monitor performance feedback, prepare data and contribute to talent meetings.
* Lead local orientation for Associates.
* Ensure consistent people experience across the Tax team.
* Promote diversity and inclusion through everyday actions.
Qualifications
* Experience mentoring and coaching others.
* Experience of direct people/line management.
* Experience in supporting/challenging people to reach full potential.
* Confidence using Microsoft packages.
* Passion for creating best possible experience for Associates.
* Optional: Experience supporting office/firm-wide projects.
* Optional: Experience in wellbeing and support.
* Optional: Knowledge of Tax or accountancy training pathways.
* Optional: Stakeholder and project management skills.
* Optional: Experience collaborating with various teams.
