A Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor is required to join a major organisation based in the South East on a permanent basis. The Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor will be joining an established in-house legal function and handling a range of work of national significance.
The successful candidate will benefit from flexible working but must attend the office in the South East at least once a week.
This role is ideal for someone with proven experience managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and stakeholder liaison across public and private sectors.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of PFI contract lifecycle management, particularly contract handback, asset condition assessment, and compliance with obligations.
Experience in construction law or Public Procurement is advantageous but not essential.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Advising on engineering and construction matters related to large infrastructure projects
2. Managing the lifecycle of PFI contracts
3. Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing complex contracts
4. Guiding on public procurement regulations and policies
5. Handling legal matters, both contentious and non-contentious
