About the Role
As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Your mission will be to help them build confidence and achieve positive outcomes in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality care and key worker responsibilities, consistently exceeding Ofsted National Minimum Standards.
* Provide exceptional childcare for all young people in the home.
* Actively contribute to improving the lives and outcomes of every young person.
* Build positive relationships with families, friends, and external professionals.
* Maintain a culture of trust, respect, and teamwork across the home.
* Support children with daily activities, helping them build routines, confidence, and life skills.
* Supervise young people closely and respond to signs of concern, de-escalating situations as needed.
* Participate in activities with children, acting as a positive role model.
Requirements
* A full UK driving licence is essential.
* If you do not already hold a relevant qualification, you will complete either the Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and Young People or the Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship within two years.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position with a commitment of 40 hours per week. You will have the opportunity to work in a family-style home, supporting a maximum of four young people.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary starting at £25,563.20, with the potential to earn up to £32,283.20 including sleep-in shifts. Additional benefits include:
