Vision for Edcuation are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis in an SEN Primary & Secondary School in Stourbridge on a full-time basis. Working with students who requires additional support. This role is crucial in helping the student access the curriculum and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. About the Role Provide consistent 1:1 support to a named pupil in line with their EHCP / IEP Support the pupil’s academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs Encourage independence while offering appropriate guidance and reassurance Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction Implement strategies advised by teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals Support the pupil during lessons, transitions, break times, and school activities Monitor and record progress, behaviour, and achievements Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, parents/carers, and support staff The School This school provides specialist education for young people aged 7 to 19, with a strong emphasis on supporting students with Autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as physical and learning disabilities, including visual impairments. About you: To be considered for the 1:1 position, you will: Have experience working with children with challenging behaviours and backgrounds. A non-judgmental and caring approach. Build trust and engage with diverse young people Have volunteered in youth centres or schools. Have experience of working in care, mentoring, or coaching. Have supported children with SEN (1:1 or group settings) Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
