Ryecroft CE Middle School Cover Supervisor (Maternity Cover) Start Date – 13 th April 2026 32.5 hours per week – Term Time plus Training Days (Grade 5 – Point 7: £26,403 per annum pro rata) We require a talented and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our classroom support team. This role involves supporting pupils in and out of the classroom to meet their aspirational targets. This could also be the ideal stepping-stone into teaching or mentoring. You will also be supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, assisting pupils with their set work and activities to ensure they remain focused and on track. This role is diverse with the opportunity to develop new skills throughout the school. You will have: • GCSE Maths and GCSE English (Level 4 and above) • An appropriate level 3 qualification • Confident and competent in using day-to-day IT • Experience of working in a school environment • Confident in delivering prepared lessons • The ability to motivate pupils and a desire to make a positive contribution to their education • The ability to manage challenging behaviour in line with the school behaviour policy • A commitment to the ethos of the school and have a ‘can-do’ attitude PLEASE NOTE: We anticipate that the post holder will be required until the end of the Spring Term 2027 Ryecroft Middle School is an excellent 9-13 years middle school set in the beautiful surroundings and at the heart of the community.
