This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced commercial strategist with a strong background in the waste and environmental sector. Working at the forefront of sustainability, you will lead innovation, influence senior stakeholders, and develop market-leading solutions that support decarbonisation, resource efficiency, and long-term commercial growth. The Role:
* Lead and develop high-performing strategy and innovation teams, driving a culture of delivery, collaboration, and continuous improvement
* Shape and execute the commercial innovation strategy across the business, introducing forward-thinking solutions and challenging traditional approaches
* Manage strategic programmes and cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with wider commercial and operational objectives
* Build trusted partnerships with customers and senior stakeholders, leading high-level conversations around sustainability and value creation
* Identify and deliver opportunities linked to Net Zero, decarbonisation, resource management, and broader environmental improvement goals
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proven leadership experience within the waste management or wider environmental sector, with a xsngvjr track record of leading cross-functional teams through change
* Strong strategic and commercial capability, with the ability to turn ideas into practical, embedded business solutions
* Confident influencing senior leadership and operating effectively across large, matrix-led environments
* Highly analytical, organised, and self-sufficient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* IOSH Managing Safely certification and Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification, or equivalent professional experience
