GSL Education are currently looking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Rotherham. Role Overview: As a Primary TA, you will work closely with teachers to provide learning and classroom support, helping pupils to build confidence, engage with lessons, and develop academically, socially, and emotionally. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils’ learning on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management. Encourage and motivate pupils to stay engaged and reach their goals. Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Support pupils with additional needs, where required. Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare. Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant: Previous experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting is desirable. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Adaptability to work with different age groups and learning needs. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
