Salary: GBP20,381 per annum
We have an exciting opportunity for a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a children’s residential service in Smethwick, supporting young people aged 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated individual who wants to make a positive impact in young people's lives by helping them develop socially, emotionally, and behaviorally in a safe and caring environment. Experience in the health & social care sector is highly transferable!
You will be committed, passionate, and capable of engaging, encouraging, and mentoring young people, while enjoying the work! Activities like playing football, computer games, and trips to theme parks are some of the perks!

Salary: £25,181.52 (including sleep allowance)
Location: Smethwick
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week plus sleep shifts (rota pattern: 1 on, 2 off, including weekends)

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Encouraging participation in activities and fostering independence
* Maintaining a homely, friendly environment
* Managing challenging behaviours safely
* Protecting children from risks and promoting their well-being
* Supporting children and young people in their development
* Ensuring a safe environment and up-to-date knowledge of care plans
* Supporting behavioural management sympathetically
* Building positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals
Requirements:
* NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People (desirable)
* Experience in residential children’s homes (desirable)
* Experience in health & social care (desirable)
* Full UK driving license (essential)
