As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of building services projects, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality mechanical engineering solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

With a strong UK-wide presence, Tetra Tech delivers innovative mechanical and electrical engineering solutions across sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Defence. The Leicester office plays a key role in delivering technically challenging and sustainable projects across the region.
Responsibilities
* Designing mechanical systems (HVAC, public health, etc.) from concept to completion
* Producing detailed design calculations, specifications, and technical drawings
* Supporting senior engineers with site surveys, inspections, and construction stage duties
* Coordinating with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines
* Ensuring compliance with current building regulations and sustainability standards
* Participating in project meetings and contributing to technical discussions
Qualifications
* Developing your technical skills with guidance from experienced engineers
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field
* Experience working on mechanical building services projects within a consultancy or contractor environment
* Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IES, and NBS
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A proactive and solution-focused mindset
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
