Executive Head of Childcare Services
Interim Contract - 3 Months Initially - 36 Hours per Week - £41.54 Umbrella / £31.70 PAYE (exclusive)
Haringey Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Head of Childcare Services to lead high‑quality early years provision across maintained nurseries within the borough.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving standards, ensuring compliance, and delivering outstanding outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage childcare provision across multiple nursery settings
* Ensure high‑quality delivery of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
* Oversee Ofsted readiness, safeguarding, and child protection
* Drive service improvement, planning, and performance management
* Lead, develop, and support multidisciplinary staff teams
* Manage budgets and ensure effective resource allocation
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders
About You
* Strong leadership experience within Early Years / childcare services
* In‑depth knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding frameworks
* Experience within a local authority or public sector setting
* Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and service delivery
