This position is based at our Head Office in Amersham. You must live within a reasonable distance to the office or be willing to relocate by the role commencement date.
Job Purpose
Working in our busy marketing and online team at the head office in Amersham, you will be responsible for the graphic design team at The Entertainer and Early Learning Centre. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the design team in addition to influencing the creative strategy for our brands and marketing campaigns.
You will be a strong creative thinker with exceptional design ability. You will have solid communication and articulation skills. As well as the ability to multitask and manage the workload of yourself and the team. The brand guardian for our business, you will take ownership for the creative output of our brands and internal design.
You will report to the Campaigns Manager and work closely with the retail and online teams.
Skills & Experience
1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a design role.
2. Graphic design experience gained within a toy, retail or agency background.
3. A thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign packages) is vital.
4. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro is advantageous but not essential.
5. Strong visual & creative skills, able to deliver high quality work with great attention to detail.
Responsibilities
6. Lead the Concept Creation and Graphic Designers in creating on brand, aesthetically pleasing and functional visual designs that support the business objectives across all our channels and markets.
7. The brand guardian for all design output ensuring offline materials and online assets are meeting brand guidelines.
8. Attending and contributing to campaign and brand strategy meetings. Taking ownership of design lead projects.
9. Managing the streams of work for the team and yourself, to meet a range of deadlines. Delegating tasks to your team and coordinating feedback.
10. Clearly articulating design rationale and confidently presenting visual design work to all levels of the business.
11. Critiquing marketing assets and suggesting improvements
