Job overview
The post holder will be required to transport patients, carers and equipment to and from the Hospice in a professional, caring, comfortable, and timely manner, using our wheelchair adapted vehicle or an appropriate fleet vehicle.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be required to effectively communicate with patients, carers, relatives and healthcare colleagues to provide a quality service. There is an expectation that the post holder will have frequent and direct contact with patients and families, who may have varying levels of distress and anxiety.
The postholder will be expected to use the database to record all journeys accurately and in a timely manner.
The post holder will complete regular vehicle checks to ensure the safe running and maintenance of hospice fleet vehicles.
The postholder will hold a full driving licence with no more than penalty points at the time of application.
