Job details

The Research Executive will work on project-based assignments within the Consulting team, to support client delivery work. The role will involve delivering high-quality primary and secondary research to support evidence-based diversification advice for rural estates, landowners, investors and public sector clients across the UK. The role focuses on supporting the provision of robust analysis to inform rural estate diversification opportunities, strategic estate development and creating long term sustainable growth for an estate or landowner.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a client and solutions focused environment and enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and making a tangible impact.

What you will do
Design and undertake qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary market research and analysis of data and information to support the strategic advice and client recommendations.
Produce robust, evidence-based insights to support diversification strategies (e.g. commercial, residential, tourism, renewables, natural capital, community uses) to inform client advice.
Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities relevant to rural estates and landowners.
Contribute to high-quality client-ready reports (options appraisals, feasibility studies, business cases) and presentations, including drafting text, document editing, and proofreading.
Establish and manage a knowledge management system and associated templates and databases to store information centrally.
Support the business development activities and proactively engage in company-wide business development initiatives.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of UK rural policy, emerging trends and market developments, to inform the team.
Who you are

You are a dynamic and enthusiastic team worker who shows initiative and great attention to detail. You will be curious and able to think broadly and methodically.
Ideally you will have:
An understanding of the rural sector and the drivers affecting rural diversification opportunities.
Experience in primary and secondary research, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Ability to collaborate to apply research findings to practical recommendations.
Excellent spoken and written business English, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and well-structured research reports, with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple research tasks and meet deadlines.
Highly organised, and responsive with the confidence to work on own initiative while contributing effectively to team-based projects
Experience using standard presentation and data analysis tools (e.g. Word, Powerpoint, Excel, AI).
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Join us

You'll be joining a business where your contribution matters and where professionalism, integrity and teamwork are genuinely valued.
