We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Head Cook/Chef. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service and culinary activities, overseeing kitchen management, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality & cleanliness. Responsibilities
* Overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality in food production.
* Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
* Helping with menu planning and food preparation to meet dietary requirements and customer preferences.
* Lead and train junior staff.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
* Coordinate catering services for events, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
* Monitor shift management to maintain productivity during peak hours.
* Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area at all times.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in the food industry, with a focus on working within a busy kitchen
* Knowledge of food production techniques, menu planning, and cooking methods.
* Experience with inventory management and control processes.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and guests effectively.
