Job Description Operations:
• Contribute to defining documentation that is accurate and CEM compliant and manage template requirements.
• Collate current data on all tax issues relevant to the business, disseminate to the BU, train staff, and update as necessary.
• Work with the Central Facilities Team to coordinate use/renewal/training/recording of Facilities.
• Brief all Technical issues; agree Terms of Reference; provide Technical news updates for internal distribution.
• Coordinate and brief on all Market Security and Solvency issues.
• Collaborate with Client Advocates and Placement Specialists to ensure client needs are met and technical issues are promptly addressed.
• Ensure all applicable Practices operate according to Group, Global, and prescribed policies, procedures, and standards.
• Train relevant staff on systems, procedures, and policies; develop training materials and conduct training as needed.
• Liaise with internal operational groups supporting efficiency, accuracy, and excellence.
• Support the A&S function to achieve annual targets and liaise with clients on credit control matters.
• Ensure data and IT systems strategies are governed properly to maintain process robustness, control, software, and data integrity.
• Promote a culture of continuous process improvement and operational excellence.
• Foster professional relationships across locations, including Mumbai.
• Deliver training to Placement Operation Specialists and provide feedback for performance improvement.
• Assist in resolving complex queries and develop operational metrics.
• Support operational governance and decision-making processes.
• Build relationships within internal and external peer groups, sharing best practices.
• Perform other duties aligned with the role's level of responsibility.
• Maintain relevant experience and qualifications.
• Assist in ensuring Practices have appropriate resources, knowledge, and controls, supporting the first line of defence.
• Conduct training on compliance policies, ensuring refresher courses are completed.
• Maintain relationships with BU and Group Compliance, monitor controls, and cooperate with Internal Audit.
• Handle regulatory issues, ensuring staff are trained and updated.
• Promote operational efficiencies and technical excellence.
• Support the LOB Leader and executives in delivering strategic plans.
• Drive business growth through operational excellence and accurate data management.
• Improve margins by promoting quality and efficiency, ensuring compliance with revenue policies.
* Preferably educated to degree level, with professional qualifications like ACII or similar.
* Accreditation in Lean or other process improvement methodologies is desirable.
* Significant experience in the insurance broking sector.
* Proven track record of delivering excellent client service through operational functions.
* Experience working with support functions such as Sales, HR, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal.
* Experience in high-pressure, results-oriented environments, capable of managing change.
* Experience in implementing initiatives to drive operational excellence.
* Operational experience with diverse logistical functions.
* Good knowledge of FCA regulations.
