Responsibilities
1. Ensure that all HMRC submissions are made, payroll reconciliations carried out and all legislative timescales are understood and adhered to.Specialist knowledge and experience running all aspects of a payroll function, including HMRC Legislation and the ability to complete complex tax calculations Ensure each stage of the payroll process is properly actioned, employees are paid accurately and on time.Company policies and employee benefits are managed in line with Waters guidelinesDrive continuous improvement through the development and coordination of processes and procedures for payroll management.Technical ability to manage the payroll and benefits systems, with the aim of providing integration and improvements along with an excellent employee experience.Liaise with the internal and external auditors to ensure all the information required is presented and queries dealt within the timeframes requiredMaintain a proactive continuous professional interest and understanding of statutory and payroll changes and the implementation of changes Undertake day to day line management of the UK team, including, one to one’s, conducting appraisals, overseeing their development and acting as their “technical expert” Coach, whilst promoting the shared service ethos.Manage pension administration, auto enrolement and interface with pension providers.
Qualifications
Education:
2. Certified Payroll Professional qualification – CIPP.
Experience:
3. Proficiency in the use of ADP IHCM software is essential or a similar type payroll.
4. Experience in the operation and tax reporting of stock option and restricted stock unit schemes.
5. Experience in the configuration and operation of benefit administration portals
6. Confident user of systems, including Excel with functions such as VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables.
