Overview
As a Patient Care Assistant Student, you’ll work closely with our Clinical Nurse Educators and a preceptor to learn the essential duties needed to become a Patient Care Assistant at Penn Highlands Brookville. The course is a combination of classroom time and hands-on training.
Course Details
* Course Dates: June 8th to July 13th, 2026
* Shift: Rotating Shifts 6am-6:30pm/6pm-6:30am, every other weekend, every other holiday
* Pay Rate: $13.11/hr - earn while you learn!
* Toward the end of the 6 week course, successful students can apply and be considered for any current Patient Care Assistant positions available at Penn Highlands Brookville
Qualifications
* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or be at least 16 years old & currently enrolled in high school
* Must have an interest in patient care
* Must be a team player
