Psychology Graduate – SEN Teaching Assistant – Kensington

The Role – Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

* Full-time, long-term role starting September
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with complex needs
* Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and daily routines
* Collaborate with SEN teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver personalised support plans
* Contribute to classroom management and create a positive, engaging learning environment
* Gain exposure to therapeutic approaches, intervention strategies, and EHCP processes


Person Specification / Qualifications

* Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology (or related subject)
* Previous experience supporting young people with SEN (school, youth work, tutoring, care) is desirable
* Empathetic, patient, and resilient with a calm, confident approach
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A genuine passion for SEN education and mental health support
