Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITOM Event Management Architect to design, implement, and optimize ServiceNow SaaS-based ITOM Event Management solutions.
The ideal candidate will act as a technical SME and thought leader, translating business requirements into scalable, high-availability enterprise solutions while ensuring best practices across architecture, governance, and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the architecture, configuration, and deployment of ServiceNow ITOM Event Management.
* Integrate ServiceNow with monitoring tools such as:
* SolarWinds
* Splunk
* AppDynamics
* Using SNMP traps, REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and MID Server.
* Develop and maintain:
* Event rules
* Alert correlation
* Deduplication and suppression logic
* Operational intelligence signals
* Design and optimize:
* Event Console dashboards
* Service Health dashboards
* Impact maps
* Ensure CMDB integrity and alignment with CSDM standards.
* Manage Discovery scheduling (including cloud Discovery) and assess network impact.
* Provide technical leadership across multi-tier, multi-tenant implementations.
* Translate functional and technical requirements into:
* Architectural diagrams
* Technical specifications
* Configuration documentation
* Implementation work packages
* Troubleshoot production and test issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions.
* Collaborate with executives, SMEs, and business stakeholders on solution assessments and roadmap planning.
* Provide post-implementation support and continuously optimize event management processes.
Mandatory Skills
* Strong hands-on experience implementing ServiceNow SaaS solutions, specifically ITOM/Event Management.
* Expertise in:
* Event rule design
* Alert correlation
* Deduplication and suppression
* Strong integration experience using:
* SNMP traps
* REST/SOAP APIs
* MID Server
* Webhooks
* Strong JavaScript and Glide API development experience.
* Deep expertise in:
* CMDB
* CSDM framework
* Horizontal Discovery
* Cloud Discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Experience in Service Mapping and pattern debugging.
* Strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes:
* Incident Management
* Problem Management
* Change Management
