The Role
As a Chemistry Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting students’ understanding of chemical concepts and practical experimentation.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4
2. Planning and delivering engaging lessons in topics such as atomic structure, chemical reactions, bonding, and organic chemistry
3. Conducting practical experiments safely and effectively
4. Supporting students with exam preparation and assessments
5. Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities
6. Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
7. Collaborating with colleagues within the Science department

Requirements
To be considered for this Chemistry Teacher role, you will need:
14. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
15. Experience teaching Chemistry at KS3 and/or KS4
16. Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and practical laboratory skills
17. Confident classroom and laboratory management skills
18. A passion for science education and student engagement
19. Eligibility to work in the UK
20. A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
This role is suitable for experienced teachers, ECTs, or Science specialists with a Chemistry focus.
