To ensure that our Environment and Estates teams continue to provide excellent service to visitors, colleagues, and students, we’re looking for a Corporate Receptionist / Switchboard Operator. As our Receptionist / Switchboard Operator, you will gain a detailed understanding of the University and use your excellent customer care skills to provide an efficient and timely service.
We Are Recruiting For One, Part-time Position
22.5 hours at Llandaff Campus, 13:30 - 18:00 (Mon - Fri)
You’ll Play a Key Role By
* Welcoming visitors to the campus, understanding their needs, and supporting their travel to various destinations across our campuses.
* Providing a superb switchboard service, responding to internal and external calls, and offering support.
* Assisting with campus events and supporting attendees.
What You’ll Bring
With excellent customer care skills and experience working in a customer-focused environment, you’ll support enquiries courteously, helpfully, and knowledgeably. Your telephone experience will enable you to answer calls on a busy computerised switchboard and transfer them to the appropriate department or individual.
Your outstanding organisational skills will be vital, supporting multiple tasks and priorities while providing timely assistance. Confidence in Welsh language skills, professional communication, and the ability to support service users with their queries are essential.
Additionally, You’ll Have
* A working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Clear communication skills, written, over the telephone, and in-person, with the ability to interact with and manage the expectations of various service users.
* Excellent team working skills, with the ability to communicate priorities with colleagues and work cohesively to provide a fantastic service.
