Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Downhole Tools

As part of their continued growth into the geothermal and energy sectors, they are looking to expand their mechanical engineering team with an experienced Mechanical Engineer who brings specific experience with downhole tools.
This is a highly collaborative role within a multidisciplinary team tackling some of the industry's toughest engineering challenges-from high-pressure, high-temperature environments to mechanical dynamics, corrosion, and wear.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and testing of downhole tools. You'll be expected to validate your work through engineering calculations, contribute to experimental setups, and participate in hands-on shop floor testing. This role requires both practical and analytical expertise, with opportunities to work on products used in both Oil & Gas and emerging geothermal markets.
Designing mechanical assemblies for downhole applications
Substantiating designs with calculations and FEA analysis
Reviewing and approving engineering drawings and specifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design
Understanding of materials, coatings, and mechanical properties
Hands-on experience with manufacturing methods and shop floor testing
Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Creo preferred)
