No two days are the same, and the role is varied, interesting, and thought-provoking. Please get in touch to talk about working in Inpatient Psychological Services in CWPT Duties include: • Direct assessment and formulation work with patients with complex needs. • Provide clinical supervision to more junior team members and other members of the MDT. • Lead on psychologically informed team formulation. • Contribute to QIPs, relevant audits, and research on ward. • Deliver psychologically informed training. Person Specification Qualifications • Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or Doctoral level training in Counselling Psychology • Full registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist Experience • Experience of working with adults across the lifespan. • Experience of working psychologically with a range of people presenting with a range of difficulties who are very distressed and who may be engaging in unsafe behaviours. • Maintenance of professionalism in highly emotive and challenging circumstances. • Experience of tailoring psychological assessment, formulation and intervention to individual needs, drawing on a range of psychological models as indicated. • Experience of utilising psychological assessment tools appropriate to client group Knowledge and Skills • Knowledge of the theory and practice of highly specialist psychological assessment methods and therapeutic approaches in relation to the client group. • Skills in applying this knowledge. Well developed communication skills, suitable to the specialty. • Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and the legal context of inpatient crisis/urgent mental health services. • Evidence of continuing professional development.
