SEN Support Teaching Assistant – Reception Class
Location: Preston
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm (Full-Time)
Pay: £13.75 per hour

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Preston, supporting within a Reception class from September 2025. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity to support pupils in their early years and play a key role in helping every child reach their full potential.
About the Role:
* Working 1:1 and in small groups to support children with additional needs in Reception
* Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies
* Encouraging learning through play and structured activities
* Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with or supporting children (essential).
* Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (desirable but not essential).
* Relevant experience from a care or support worker background will be considered.
* A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
* A strong understanding of the importance of early years development.
This is an ideal role for someone who is committed to nurturing children in their early stages of education and who has a genuine interest in supporting children with diverse needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
