Sheridan Maine is delighted to partner with a leading organisation in the property sector to recruit a Budgeting Analyst for their finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who excels in collaboration, problem-solving, and providing clear financial insights that enhance business performance.
This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel to the head office in Bournemouth.
The role:
As a key finance contact for development budgeting, you will take ownership of annual and initial budgets for new property developments, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and strategic alignment. This role provides cross-departmental exposure and the opportunity to influence decisions through analysis and stakeholder engagement.
Core responsibilities include:
1. Preparing and managing annual development budgets
2. Analyzing cost assumptions, identifying trends, and providing insights to inform strategy
3. Collaborating with operational, commercial, and finance teams to develop realistic budgets
4. Maintaining system integrity and data accuracy across budgeting platforms
5. Driving process improvements and best practices in budgeting and financial reporting

* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification (or QBE with relevant budgeting experience)
* Proven experience in preparing complex budgets and supporting financial planning
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems such as Power BI, Qube, or Adaptive Insights is a plus
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
* A curious mindset, high attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
