A leading and highly successful manufacturing business based in Barnsley is seeking an ambitious, commercially savvy individual to oversee the monthly management accounts for one of its key geographical regions. Key Responsibilities:
* Produce accurate, timely monthly management accounts.
* Take ownership of accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and reconciliation processes.
* Analyse commercial contracts to extract vital financial data.
* Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and support the audit process.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for finance-related queries, particularly with regard to a growing property portfolio.
* Identify key areas for improvement in financial performance and reporting accuracy.
* Work closely with operational teams to gain insights into cost drivers and challenge any variances.
* Contribute to budgeting processes and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide mentorship and support to junior team members.
Ideal Experience:
* Actively studying towards a CIMA or ACCA qualification, with a clear commitment to qualifying as a full accountant.
* Previous experience in preparing management accounts, ideally within a group function.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to clearly communicate financial KPIs to non-financial stakeholders.
* A desire to mentor, manage, and develop leadership skills in people management.
