Healthcare Assistants looking for an exciting challenge and a wealth of opportunities are encouraged to join our current team on Ward H5 (complex spinal unit). The 26‑bedded unit cares for patients with a range of spinal conditions from across the Greater Manchester Region. Alongside the Ward Senior nursing team, the ward is supported by Specialist Nurse teams and Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
* Support our team to ensure that service users’ needs are met through the delivery of high‑quality care.
* Assist the Health Care Practitioner in routine health‑related activities and personal care, including activities of daily living and patient‑led focused care.
* Record patient information and provide clinical support as required, including delegated tasks such as recording physiological observations, blood glucose, undertaking ECG, bladder scanning, venepuncture and cannulation.
* Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
