Specialist Dietitian - Adult Eating Disorders
Salary range: £40K - £50K depending on experience
Hours: Part-time 2 or 3 days per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Location: Ipswich
About the role:
As a Specialist Dietitian in our Adult Eating Disorder Rehabilitation Service, you will be responsible for offering high-quality, evidence-based dietetic services. This role involves working with individuals experiencing a range of eating disorders, in a residential setting but also in the community. You will assess, plan, and implement individualised dietary interventions, contributing to their overall therapeutic care.
Your key responsibilities will include working closely within a multidisciplinary team that includes Medical Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Together, we deliver a holistic approach to care, ensuring each client receives personalised treatment that addresses both their physical and mental health needs.

Your main responsibilities as a Specialist Dietitian:
* Provide specialist dietetic assessments and develop tailored interventions for individuals with eating disorders.
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care for clients.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all dietary interventions and assessments.
* Offer training and guidance to less experienced team members and external professionals, sharing your expertise in dietetic care for eating disorders.
* Be a key contributor to service development, continually seeking ways to enhance the care we provide.
What we are looking for in a Specialist Dietitian:
* Registered Dietitian with a recognised qualification in dietetics.
* Demonstrated experience working with individuals with eating disorders in a clinical setting.
* Specialist knowledge of dietetic interventions and assessments for eating disorders, with an understanding of common comorbid conditions.
* Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to collaborative care planning.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with difficult-to-reach clients and their families.
