Sendsory Address: Crane Court, 302 London Road, Ipswich Suffolk IP2 0AJ Salary: £18,327.74 per annum (Actual salary), Grade 5 point 16 Hours: 25 hours per week, 9.30 am - 2.30 pm, Term time only Contract: Fixed term for 12 months, Starting in September 2026 Reference: 0716 As HR and Compliance Manager at Sendsory, you will lead all HR operations across the provision, ensuring recruitment, safeguarding compliance, staff onboarding and HR systems are effectively managed in line with safer recruitment practices and statutory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant and well-organised workforce, supporting the wider team and working closely with the Director of Provision to ensure high-quality staffing systems and processes. In this role, you will: Recruitment and onboarding manage recruitment processes in line with safer recruitment practices advertise vacancies across appropriate platforms coordinate and support the interview process lead onboarding processes, including DBS applications, references and pre-employment checks issue and manage contracts, offer letters and variation letters prepare welcome packs and coordinate staff inductions alongside the Head of Provision maintain accurate and up-to-date staff personnel files. Safeguarding and compliance maintain and update the Single Central Record in line with statutory guidance monitor DBS status and renewal requirements ensure safeguarding declarations and right-to-work documentation are completed and recorded maintain staff qualification and certification records support preparation for compliance audits and external inspections ensure all HR processes align with GDPR and data protection requirements support policy distribution and track staff sign-off. Training and staff development issue and monitor mandatory training, including safeguarding, Prevent and data protection maintain training records and track expiry dates send training reminders and ensure compliance is maintained across the team issue training certificates and upload to staff records coordinate six annual training days under the direction of the Director of Provision arrange logistics, including catering, for training days. Payroll and staff changes provide monthly updates to payroll, including sickness and staffing changes maintain accurate records of staff absence, leave and contract changes support payroll processes, including post-payroll bank transfers where required. HR systems and staff coordination add new staff to internal systems and communication platforms coordinate email accounts and system access for new starters maintain staff contact and emergency contact records manage staff ID badge records and registers maintain and update the staff organisational chart. General HR and operational support send staff communications and HR updates maintain and update the staff handbook support the coordination of cover staff where required track staffing ratios in line with provision needs provide general HR and operational administrative support as directed. You will need: experience working within HR, administration or a similar role strong understanding of safer recruitment and safeguarding requirements (or willingness to develop) excellent organisational skills and attention to detail experience managing records, systems and compliance processes ability to handle confidential information in line with GDPR strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team experience coordinating multiple processes and deadlines confidence using digital systems and platforms experience in education, SEND or alternative provision is desirable.
