Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Gateshead.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting after the Easter break on 20th April. The successful candidate will be supporting teaching and learning across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, covering classes when required and working closely with class teachers to support pupil progress.
The Role:
Supporting learning across KS1 and KS2
Delivering planned lessons and covering classes when needed
Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs
Working collaboratively with teachers and school staff
Helping to maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment
Requirements:
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Previous experience working in a primary school setting
Confidence covering lessons across KS1 and KS2
Strong communication and classroom management skills
A passion for supporting children’s learning and development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
