We're seeking a Operations Manager to play an integral role within our contract, delivering a first-class service and achieving fantastic results.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
* Managing day to day operational activities to fulfil customer requirements OTIF to specification
* Adherence to compliance both internal and external regulatory bodies
* Maintain and promote H&S culture across the site
* Control and monitor IT tools such as RP, BY, APOS
* Monitor agreed resource level across site in line with budgets, and productivity targets
* Manage and enhance performance management
* Engage with Union to facilitate collaboration between management and colleagues throughout the operation to deliver the goals
* Planning corrective action meetings and preparing response to audits
* Support CSR initiatives across site
* Ensure effective communication processes are established for both internal and external customers
* Review, develop and maintain/improve operational processes in line with DfT guidelines
* Record and proactively manage KPIs to drive continuous improvement in the service level and cost performance to AWC
* Work closely with H&S and Food technical team to ensure all standards of food safety are followed
* Liaise with Food Technical team on safety audits and support implementation plans
* Work towards minimising impact on train delays due to operational process error
* Maintain and deliver PI initiatives to help site achieve commercial goals
* Responsible for delivery of financial and non-financial KPIs and Gainshare targets for the site
* Budget management
* Carry out HR functions as required
* Lead and support employee engagement initiatives
* Train and Develop operations team from management to colleague
* Responsible for sickness/absence management. Working towards site KPIs and managing within set HR guidelines
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

* Preferred experience within catering logistics operation or warehouse logistics operation
* Middle management experience
* IT literate - particularly capable to input, manipulate and analyse Excel data
