Department Student Education and Experience (SEE) works to enable an excellent experience for students during their time at the University of York, providing information, advice, guidance and support to students from enrolment through to graduation. SEE also provides advice and guidance to colleagues across the University who rely on its expertise and processes to support the student lifecycle. The work of the Service is also critical in ensuring that the University meets a number of statutory compliance duties. The Visa Compliance team sits within the Student Administration section of SEE and is responsible for ensuring the University complies with the terms of its UKVI (UK Visa and Immigration) sponsor licence which allows the University to recruit international students. Role Working within Visa Compliance you will be part of the team which deals with day-to-day compliance queries from both students and academic departments/schools. You will be helping organise and deliver regular registration events, during which the team checks enrolled students have the right to study in the UK, and monitoring academic engagement for Student Visa holders to ensure they are complying with the terms of their sponsorship. You will also assist in the development of team processes and systems, ensuring documentation is kept up to date as processes evolve.
