Full Time ( 37 Hours) Permanent Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist, Based Acorn Centre, Vale of Leven Hospital, Alexandria G830UA

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional clinical nurse specialist for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions across West Dunbartonshire. We are looking to recruit a forward thinking individual who has experience of working within a CAMHS or paediatric context.

The post holder will undertake neurodevelopmental assessment, post diagnostic intervention and providing support and consultancy across the wider childrens services system.

The post holder will also develop strong relationships and collaborate with our partners in health, education, social services and the 3rd sector.

The post holder will have Completion of or working toward Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification (completion of this course is a requirement of the role) and work across Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Specialist Community Paediatrics Teams.

You will work with the Clinical Co-ordinator, the locality CAMHS and Paediatric leads in the effective assessment and care for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions. You will also support effective clinical governance and ensure appropriate systems of supervision.

You are required to be professionally registered along with significant experience in working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences, Completion of or working toward Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification, Evidence of using digital technology/ information systems/ email and basic applications, Demonstrable enhanced communication and interpersonal skills. Current full drivers licence is also a requirement of the post. Training and support for your professional development will be provided and we are committed to regular supervision and evidence-based practice.
