Overview
AWE is currently recruiting for a Client Construction Manager, to be responsible for delivering both pre-construction and delivery of construction projects and associated activities. Location: Aldermaston. Salary: £49,480 up to £78,200 (depending on suitability and level of experience). Closing date: 26 January 2026.
Responsibilities
* Plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate construction work in line with the project delivery strategy.
* Provide technical construction expertise/advice throughout the project lifecycle.
* Provide management and governance to maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality.
* Ensure construction management standards, procedures and work instructions governing construction are followed.
* Ensure construction teams are appropriately organised and that key personnel are competent to undertake their roles.
* Ensure construction records are maintained to support commissioning and project handover activities.
* Be responsible for task management to meet professional standards, performance and integrity of the work and reporting information necessary to support the project and business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience operating in the build environment with a proven track record in planning, managing and monitoring construction work.
* Industry-standard qualification in construction/build environment (e.g., NVQ Level 6, HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent) aligned to their discipline/specialism.
* Strong awareness and understanding of construction environment, safety and health regulations and legislation.
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or NEBOSH Construction accreditation or suitable equivalent.
* Appropriate industry-recognised safety card (e.g., CSCS Manager’s card, CCNSG Safety Passport or suitable equivalent).
