Maths Tutor / Cover Supervisor – SEN School

Are you a Maths Tutor looking to step into the classroom? Protocol Education is recruiting for a Maths Cover Supervisor to join a specialist SEN school in Gateshead.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about maths who wants to work more closely with students in a supportive classroom setting with small groups of just 3–4 learners.
Your daily responsibilities:
* Delivering small-group maths tutoring sessions
* Supporting pupils with SEN who may need extra help with numeracy
* Supervising and delivering pre-prepared maths lessons
* Helping students develop confidence and problem-solving skills
* Working alongside a supportive SEND team
What you’ll need:
* Strong basic maths knowledge
* Experience tutoring maths or supporting learning
* Confidence leading small group sessions
* A positive and encouraging approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
