Accounts Payable Team Leader

We're currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC). This role will provide management of a sub team of Accounts Payable Administrators with responsibility for the timely and accurate resolution of all vendor and internal customer queries.
Location: Salford, Manchester with flexible/hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent, full-time – flexible and part-time hours is available if required.
Responsibilities
As an Accounts Payable Team Leader, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Management of a team of 8 to 10 Finance Assistants in a flexible/hybrid working, high volume environment to process supplier invoices and maintain clean AP ledgers.
* Co-ordinate staff and work-related issues, particularly about planning and organising work schedules.
* Reporting to Purchase to Pay Manager, taking accountability for the daily work allocation, performance measurement and team management.
* Ensure that all queries and issues are resolved within the agreed Service Level Agreement.
* Partner with and deliver great service to customers and key stakeholders, working across organisational boundaries (Group Procurement, IT, wider finance, Commercial and sites).
* Be the primary escalation point for the resolution of issues across the team from the business or the vendor.
What are we looking for?
This role of Accounts Payable Team Leader is great for you if you have:
* Experience managing medium sized teams, ideally within an Accounts Payable Shared Service function or other core transactional / financial processes in a complex business environment.
* Experience of the construction industry and DRC/ CIS tax environment is advantageous but not essential.
* Experience managing/ leading change projects into Accounts Payable or similar teams.
* Strong knowledge of principles, practices, regulations and procedures relating to Accounts Payable function.
* Experience of Oracle and Causeway systems as a preference (but other financial systems experience is acceptable).
* Organise own workload and to reprioritise at short notice in order to meet deadlines.
