Clinical Pharmacist required to support Hospitals in the channel islands with their staffing needs. It is a fantastic opportunity that has been recently made available.
* Work within the Hospital Antimicrobial Management Team, which includes Consultant Microbiologists and Infection Control nurses, to provide expert advice and promote best practice in the use of antimicrobials.
* To support development of local antibiotic treatment guidelines for all prescribers.
* Carry out audit of adherence to key antimicrobial prescribing indicators and antimicrobial treatment guidelines.
* Report against identified key performance indicators to the Infection control team and Medication Safety Group.
* Feedback on antimicrobial prescribing and consumption to wards and individual prescribers as appropriate to help influence change in practice where required, encouraging senior health professionals to promote antimicrobial stewardship within their teams.
