Neonatal Assistant

Job Summary
We are looking to recruit a Band 2 Neonatal Assistant to join our neonatal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work in an innovative environment where every team member makes a valuable contribution to patient care. You will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the neonatal unit, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety.
Main Duties
The post holder will be responsible for:
* Cleaning and maintaining neonatal equipment and the clinical environment in line with infection prevention and control policies
* Stocking and replenishing nurseries and clinical areas
* Supporting the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure the neonatal unit runs efficiently and safely
* Undertaking duties appropriate to the role to support patient care and service delivery
Working Hours
* 22.8 hours per week
* Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays
* No night shifts
* Early and late shifts
* Shift patterns include 7.5‑hour shifts and long days of 11.5 hours
* Part‑time applications will also be considered
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be reliable, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, infection control, and patient safety is essential.
Experience: Some experience of working with others and the general public.
Qualifications: Educated to a suitable standard in literacy and numeracy.

* IT skills

* Calm under pressure
