Purpose of Role:
As Facilities Supervisor (Cleaning bias), you will oversee the day-to-day operational delivery working closely with the Facilities team, Account Support, Account Management and support teams including QHSE, Security and Engineering to deliver all aspects of statutory, company and contractual compliance. You will proactively oversee delivery; however, you will also be the first point of escalation for the client and our operational team. You will in turn escalate and report regularly to the Workplace Manager & Account Management team on any issues and concerns (Positive or negative).
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
* Provide line management to the operatives assigned to you as part of the FM delivery team.
* Set the example by role modelling positive leadership behaviours, continue improvement principles and effective problem solving.
* Deliver BICS training to all cleaning personnel.
* Undertake personal BICS training to ensure continuous personal development.
* Provide support and positively respond to both internal and external parties through effective communication and personal accessibility.
* Attend telephone conferences, remote and site-based meetings, ensuring you are well prepared for the call/meeting.
* Ensure operational team operate in line with processes.
* Where required review RAMS in a timely manner.
* Ensure all contractors have the correct authority, competency and qualification to carry out repairs/works before commencement, including where relevant the correct permit to work.
* Manage & coordinate site activities to ensure contractual obligations are delivered.
* Ensure all tasks are complete in line with the PPM planner (daily, weekly, monthly, bi annual & annual).
* Ensure all reactive tasks are logged via the Service Desk and managed through to completion.
* Respond to and manage all reactive tasks prioritising E1's/P1's and mitigating any impact to building user/business.
* Oversee and coordinate any additional works being delivered at site.
* Carry out planned site inspections/audits of the workplace to ensure that technical and QHSE standards and other legislative requirements are in place, up to date and meet statutory, company and contractual requirements at all sites. Provide clear reports and direction to resolution of any remedial actions and share good practice.
* Review and supervise the day-to-day cleanliness of all operational areas, reception, office space including desks & kitchens, toilet facilities & any other additional spaces that are being occupied.
* Undertake stock take of all consumable items and manage the distribution / reorder as necessary. (e.g. cleaning products, toilet rolls, hand sanitiser, etc).
* Respond to Helpdesk requests for cleaning tasks during the day.
* Develop knowledge and understanding from a hard & soft services point of view of the buildings under your responsibility.
* Support the cleaning team and other colleagues as appropriate, including sharing best practice and ensuring service consistency.
* Provide support and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks including assisting other team members in their duties when required (e.g. BMT, Cleaner, Security Officer, etc.).
