As Head of Communications, you will be responsible for the Church’s national communications strategy, ensuring itreflects our mission, engages a wide and diverse audience, and strengthens our voice across Scotland and beyond.You will oversee all aspects of media relations, digital presence, internal communications, brand, andpublications, leading a dedicated and experienced team to tell the Church’s story with clarity, creativity andpurpose.

We are looking for an experienced administrator to join the Business Support team of the General Trustees, theproperty-owning arm of the Church of Scotland, working to support their Energy and Sustainability work. You willprovide administrative support to the Trustees and Staff of the General Trustees and work collaboratively withcolleagues as part of the wider administration team under the oversight of the Head of Business Support.
The successful candidate will have excellent administrative and organisational skills with highly developed ITskills. Providing excellent customer service, you should be able to easily work under pressure and be able toadapt to changing priorities within the department.
We have a varied and interesting opportunity for a someone with a communications/public relations background who isable to engage with internal and external audiences to support in communicating the Church’s life and workwithin the Presbytery of Perth.
As a self-starter you will use your enthusiasm and strong communication skills to identify and secure copy, generategood news stories and share information for e-bulletins, the website and to get media coverage.
Your experience and expertise in IT applications including social media will generate emerging stories andannouncements of general interest.
