We are currently seeking an interim Administration Assistant to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple. Join their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based at our client’s scientific Research & Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral. It is a part-time temporary role until the end of September 2025, requiring 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation is competitive, up to £13.30 per hour, depending on experience.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the urgency of the role, we cannot accept applications with a notice period longer than 2 weeks.

Job Purpose
The Operational Excellence Team supports the scientific and engineering community at Port Sunlight R&D. The role involves ensuring team organization and efficient completion of daily tasks, supporting duties across multiple locations, and taking on additional administrative responsibilities as needed.
We seek a motivated individual with a strong administrative background to support laboratory operations and enhance efficiency at our R&D facilities in Port Sunlight and Liverpool.
Objectives of this Role
* Providing administrative support, including raising orders in the internal system (Coupa)
* Tracking orders and deliveries, maintaining accurate records
* Communicating with third-party suppliers (requesting quotes, checking delivery dates, coordinating with warehouse)
* Managing stock lists and checking stock suitability
* Identifying cost-saving opportunities
* Responding to inquiries and requests for information
* Occasionally supporting laboratory tasks (e.g., filling dispensers; no laboratory experience required)
* Labeling and filling orders
* Performing other administrative duties as needed
Requirements
* Strong organizational and administrative skills
* Excellent time management and attention to detail
* Effective communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
* Ability to work independently
* Positive attitude and enthusiasm to support team objectives
* Part-time flexibility, ideally 5 days per week
